Associate Director for Residence Life

KJ McConnell came to the Saint Leo University community in 2010 from the University of North Florida where she had been serving as Assistant Director. KJ received her Masters of Education in College Student Personnel Administration at James Madison University. While working at Saint Leo University, KJ has been recognized with a SEAHO Service Award and with a dedicated group of Saint Leo Resident Assistants has helped bring home the statewide Philanthropy Award (2012, 2013, 2014) and Spirit Cup (2013, 2014) from the Florida Resident Assistant Symposium. KJ lives on campus with her adopted shelter dog, Wrigley, and is an avid Harry Potter enthusiast.
The Associate Director of Residence Life is a full-time masters-level housing professional who leads Residence Life recruitment, selection and student leadership initiatives, training, programming and supervision/development of student staff. The Associate Director supervises the Assistant Director for Housing Operations & Graduate Assistants and reports directly to the Director for Residence Life. The Associate Director serves in the secondary professional staff on-call rotation.
